in spain we have the same thing, but itīs not a ring, you can find random things there. Itīs supposed that u wont swallow it cuz u already know that u? can find one, but yeah, do agree...u can definitely swallow it by mistake or sth..

I'm from Finland and we don't really celebrate Halloween here. It's mainly an excuse for people to have a party :D At Christmas we have this tradition to put an almond into? rice porridge(traditional Christmas dish here) and it brings good luck for the person who finds it :)

In Holland (were I live now) we don't? celebrate All Hallows Eve :S i remember getting a brack ring when I was younger I thought it was the coolest person until my finger turned green (guess it wasn't real silver:P)

in mexico we have a tradition on january 6 with fruit cake that is shaped like? a donut, the whole family gets together and who ever gets the piece of cake tht has a plastic baby in it has to throw a party april 2nd haha

we have a tradition here in Hungary : ours is mainly for the 1st of November, the day of All Saints, the tradition is to light candles and visit the graves of deceased relatives. because the tradition says that on October 31st the souls of? the dead come to rise from the grave and in order to find their way back to their grave , there must be candle lights on the grave so that the soul can see where to go back.

Haha @ perservid's comment. I wonder if that's why they stopped? putting toys in our cereal boxes?? Well, the only thing I can think of in America that's even remotely close to what you're talking about would be how our box of Cracker Jack's comes with something like a ring or a tattoo . I want to come? shopping w/you guys one day.. lol you make shopping for boring things look interesting :) Oh I'm from Baltimore have no idea about the ring thing. The only tradition I had is to get a "chocolate calendar" for Christmas for the month of December and every day leading up to Christmas u peel back a cardboard piece/"window" there is a piece of chocolate inside!! But I would always cheat and skip ahead eat a couple days' worth at a time lol.
