Get Flawless Summer Skin With Cellulite Treatments

By Dorin Ale

The summer is the time that everyone goes to the beach, the clothes come off and the cellulite is exposed. If you suffer from this problem together with the other 90% of women who do, perhaps now is the time to take a look at cellulite treatments. This condition does not only affect overweight women, anyone stands a chance of it happening, so you should always exercise and watch your diet, as prevention is far better than cure.

Perhaps you have watched your diet and you regularly exercise and are still prone to pesky cellulite? If so, then maybe more active intervention needs to be taken. Cellulite can be a stubborn problem that won't go regardless of how well you take care of your body. Basically it is just fatty tissue that becomes trapped in pockets under the dermis and this is what gives the orange peel effect.

You might be saddened to know that even drastic intervention such as liposuction is not able to remove the effects of cellulite. Fortunately though, technology has allowed for treatments to develop that work if they are intensive, and they are able to reduce the appearance of cellulite. Velasmooth is one of the latest innovations and it is a suitable treatment for all types of skin. It is safe and effective too.

Another treatment that has been used in Europe for some time is Mesotherapy. It is relatively good for localized cellulite deposits but the downside of this treatment is that microinjections are given to the patient and these can have side affects. It is not suitable for everyone and I don't know about you, but I don't fancy having someone giving me injections in the butt.

The general well being of a person and the appearance of the skin can be improved by intensive deep tissue massage. For a very serious cellulite problem however this kind of treatment is not the answer. It takes time and many sessions for improvements to be seen and we are looking for a quicker fix with more long lasting results.

Thermage is an innovation that was specifically designed for tightening loose skin after surgery. It works and has shown remarkable promise in the cellulite treatment area. Body wraps are also a very good option, they are able to treat localized cellulite problems naturally with herbs and essential oils and leave the skin looking toned and feeling better.

Taking care of yourself after having cellulite treatments is also very important. You don't want to be back at step one again after the summer is over. This entails a maintenance process and it will help you reduce the chances of the cellulite re-appearing.

Again we must stress that both exercise and diet are important. It is also important to drink plenty of water, to flush any accumulating toxins out of the body. The recommended amount of daily water consumption is 8 - 12 glasses. Using a dry brush in the shower helps stimulate the circulation of blood and lymph and this helps to maintain a cellulite free body. Water jets in the bath do the same thing and vigorous exercise induces seating which eliminates toxins also. Use of a vitamin E rich body lotion which applied with a massage type technique, will also keep your circulation good and help the skin look and feel firmer and more toned.
