Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Airsoft Guns

Airsoft guns are safer forms of highly-evolved BB guns. These guns fire plastic versions of the metal ball bearings that almost took your eye out all those years ago. These started in Asia where cheap, spring-operated plastic versions of the BB gun were made, before a clever producer noticed a demand for a more refined version for more adult war games.

Since then, technology and refinement have increased in leaps and bounds, and now there are hundreds of guns, of varying quality and types, to choose from. This has also been fuelled by the fastest growing outdoor sport since 2001 - called simply Airsoft.

Nowadays, some standardisation has taken place, and BBs are now 6 or 8mm in diameter. Also, the method of delivering the payload has been standardised, with some variations, and is now named AEG - Automatic Electric Gun. These have an electric motor, which both cocks a spring and also drives a pellet into the chamber. The spring is then released, smacking into the pellet and propelling it out of the chamber.

A typical Airsoft gun can shoot the BBs at speeds of 200 to 500 feet per second (60 to 150 metres per second). Rates of fire range from 300 up to 2000 BBs per minute, depending on the capacity of the gun's magazine. Magazines are classed as the following: low cap: around 50 BBs, mid cap: around 120 BBs, or high-cap: 200-500+ BBs. Magazines include a spring, or manually-operated ratchet to help the BB into the chamber. There are also electrically-operated magazines available that may hold up to 5000 pellets. Military-simulation Airsoft games, however, may require you to have a more realistic magazine capacity to make the experience more genuine.

However, gas-powered Airsoft guns are becoming increasingly popular due to more realistic noise and recoil. These are powered, usually, by propane in a proprietary container, screwed to the back of the gun. Recently, the possibility to 'charge' your gun using a camping gas propane tank has appeared. This gas type of gun is more common on Airsoft pistols than rifles due to the size of the motor and gear mechanism necessary to shoot the BB. AEGs have a longer range than gas guns, and the batteries usually last longer than a charge of gas.

Airsoft guns are becoming more refined in their manufacture, and the mass produced plastic parts may now be replaced with harder-wearing alloys of aluminium, producing a longer-lasting machine, with better power and accuracy. You may even buy weighted AEGs to make it feel like you are wielding the real thing.

Bullet velocity is from 50 m/s (160 ft/s) to around 125 m/s (410 ft/s). With the right adaptations, muzzle velocity can be souped up to 180 m/s (590 ft/s). You may install a module to cause backspin on the BB. This increases the amount of lift on the BB by the air flow on the underside of the ball being offset by that on the top. Lift increased and so does range. This is called a hop-up unit. Although AEG range is usually up to 75 metres (250ft), the hop up unit can double this.

When you play Airsoft, it may be difficult to know if you have been hit. You can buy 6mm paint balls for your gun, but these may break in the gun, meaning bye-bye gun.

Other factors like the temperature can seriously affect the performance of the gun because of the way the gas reacts. Cold climates can also influence the type of propellant you require for your gas airsoft gun. A case of reduced pressure can also cause the valve to stay open following fire, resulting in the loss of all the gas in the gun.

There are several brands of airsoft guns that can use 134A as a propellant; however, almost all guns of this type crafted in Japan are designed specifically to use this gas. 134A can function in any temperature that doesn't dip below 40 degrees F, at which point a more powerful gas such as propane or green gas would be the more appropriate choice.

The outcome of this was that I just never got started, the clutter remained and so did the frustration.

Lose Your Love Handles With These Great Exercises

We all have fat in places that we don't want it. Typically this is around the mid area, such as the stomach, side of body and lower back just above the trouser line. We can not choose where fat gets deposited, this is all down to genetics. Although it is believed that fat gathers around the mid section to give extra protection to the vital organs. To help shift the fat in this area, we can all watch what we eat and do some exercises to help tone up.

If you are looking to tone up your love handle region specifically then below are some great exercises that you can do at home. These exercises concentrate on the abdominal muscles and the obliques. These will help you get rid of your love handles.

Seated russian twist - Sit on the floor with your feet together and knees bent. Place your hands in front of your stomach and keep them together. Lean back until you feel like your abdominal muscles are having to work to keep you in that position then slowly rotate from side to side. Focus on rotating the whole of your upper body.

Side plank - Lie on your side then lift your body off the ground, using your forearm that is nearest the ground. Keep your hips in line with the rest of your body and make sure they do not dip as this will not work your stomach muscles correctly. Hold each side for 30 seconds.

Slow bicycles - This exercises is like riding a bike but you are lying on your back. But your are doing this much slower. Place your hands behind your head like you would do when you are doing a sit-up. When your leg comes up to your stomach, reach over with your opposite elbow and feel the pull across your stomach. Repeat the opposite way.

Those are great exercises to get your started on for now. If you find these too easy or are looking for something a bit more challenging, then start using some free weights. These are great as you need to use more muscles to stabilize the weight than if you just use static machines. To keep it more interesting if you are doing exercises at home, then you can incorporate using the swiss ball and resistance bands.

Complete these exercises and you will see a more toned stomach in no time.

Please be careful to use proper posture and form when doing your abs workout. People have hurt their backs and neck trying to attempt this result without proper training and understanding of the human's body approach. Also, know that the abs region is a very sensitive area where hypertension and other injuries can happen in a very split minute. Know your body and learn to listen to its needs, know how to get a six pack fast and enjoy your abs.

Thanksgiving: The 2nd Day of My HCG Diet

So I'll get started on the HCG diet business next, but for now I thought I'd start off with a Happy Thanksgiving for you all! After experiencing your very own Thanksgiving Day you have to see my logic in making sure that Thanksgiving was one of the "loading" days for my HCG Diet. It fit in perfectly with the HCG protocol for weight loss. And I didn't feel deprived on the food focused holiday. (Far from it...I was stuffed!)

I weighed myself this morning, but it was the same as yesterday; no change. I took my HCG drops according to the HCG protocol for weight loss and I took the B-Total Sublingual drops that are supposed to up my energy levels while on the diet. I started my 2nd day of loading off with a fabulous cinnamon roll. (Then I had another one...don't shake your head at me. I'm SUPPOSED to be loading today). If you're not sure what they mean by "fatty, high calorie foods" for the loading days...cinnamon rolls would be a great place to start.

I made an apple pie to take to our family dinner (and totally snacked on spiced apples during the process). Since it was Thanksgiving there was plenty of good "loading" foods around the house. So that was definitely not a problem. I made sure to take a break from "loading" for 15 minutes around 11 am so that I could take the HCG drops at 11:15 am. Then I made sure not to eat or drink anything for the next 15 minutes. Then I was good to go again.

When I was reading the booklet that came along with the HCG products I remember a list of common errors that decrease the amount of weight loss even if people think they are following the HCG protocol for weight loss. One of them was that people don't load enough high calorie, high fat foods during the first two "loading" days. Evidently it leads to increased hunger, crankiness and headaches during the diet.

I don't think I'll need any help being cranky or hungry and who wants to have headaches? So I'm really glad that Thanksgiving ensured I had plenty of high fat, high calorie food on hand. I am positive that I fulfilled the loading requirements quite nicely.

So far the HCG protocol for weight loss seems like a piece of cake (or pie since it's Thanksgiving). After I went to the big Thanksgiving dinner with my family and enjoyed all the traditional foods that we have every year I got home and took the weight loss formula again. Now I'm headed to bed and I'm trying not to think about the fact that tomorrow my big staple is going to be water and herbal tea. We'll see how it goes!

Equipment You Will More Than Likely Want To Purchase For Mexican Recipes

In order to cook authentic Mexican foods you will need some special tools. While it is possible to do Mexican cooking without these tools, true Mexican flavor depends on some of these tools that allow the food to develop the traditional flavors.

Mole is best made in a Cazuelas. This is a small bowl like pottery dish with handles that is used to simmer sauces. Clay is very good at dispersing heat and prevents hot spots where sauce is burnt. The handles make them easier to handle in open fires. The outside may be painted brightly and beautifully, while the inside is glazed. These clay pots look great when just setting on a shelf as decorations.

The Olla or Barro are also clay pots from Mexico. They are very large and are used to slow cook beans, soups or stews. Heating is very even and ingredients can be cooked all day long on open flames. These pots will break, especially if exposed to extreme temperature changes.

The griddle or Comal can be made of cast iron, aluminum or even clay. The griddle is round and can be used to warm tortillas or for roasting vegetables including chiles. There are several sizes of Comals available, some up to two feet in diameter.

The Metate y Mano is a hand grinder that has been carved from lava rock or stone. We would call it a mortar and pestle. In Mexico, it is used for grinding corn or spices and foods may be mixed using the cylinder of stone. There are usually three legs that have been carved to hold the bowl upright.

The Molcajete y Tejolote is a true Mexican mortar and pestle. It can be made of stone, clay or even wood. It is sold with a wood cylinder that is rounded on each end to use to crush spices or chilis to prepare them for cooking.

A Molinillo is a wood wisk which is used to froth hot chocolate in a cup. To use this tool, you spin it between your hands to form the foam on the chocolate.

The Tortilla Press or Tortillero was first made of wood, but today can be found made of cast iron or resin. There are aluminum tortilla presses, however they tend to break easily, so save your money. The press has two large wood blocks or round plates. Mesa is rolled into a ball and pressed in the press in order to make a tortilla.
